ICSI CS June Exam Notification 2020 has released. The Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) has discontinued the CS Foundation program. The official notice issued regarding this on its website has mentioned that CS Foundation program has been replaced with CS Executive Entrance Test (CSEET). Students can take CSEET for registration to Executive Program. Candidates who have completed Class 12th will be eligible to appear in CSEET. Students will be exempted from qualifying CSEET if they have cleared ICAI and ICMAI final course. The first CSEET exam will be conducted in Computer-Based Mode in May 2020. CSEET registration portal has been made live by the examination authority. The application form deadline for CS June 2020 session has been extended due to the outbreak of COVID-19.

ICSI CS Exam Details:
The Institute of Company Secretaries of India, constituted under Company Secretaries Act, 1980, is a government recognized body which produces Company Secretaries in India. The course of Company Secretary ship was introduced in 1960 by the Company Law Board. The ICSI was created in 1968 which took over from the Company Law Board to conduct the exam. The Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) was then converted into a statutory body with effective from 1.1.1981 under the Company Secretaries Act, 1980. The CS certification includes three levels of which one has to appear for three exams:
- Foundation Program
- Executive Program
- Professional Program
Every candidate, who are declared ‘pass’ in Professional Program Examination in addition to acquiring practical experience, shall be required to undergo compulsory practical training for four months.
ICSI Eligibility Criteria 2020:
- Now CSEET will be a mandatory qualifying test for all categories of students for registration to Executive Program except a few exempted categories.
- The candidate’s age must not be less than 17 years on the date of application
- To be eligible for CSEET, candidates must have completed Class 12th
- Graduate/Post Graduate candidates who were eligible to seek registration directly to Executive Program will also have to qualify CSEET to become eligible for registration to Executive Program.
- The following categories of students are exempted from qualifying CSEET and can seek registration directly to Executive Program:
- The candidate is supposed to register for the Professional Program nine months prior to the month in which the examination commences to be able to be admitted to the program.
- A candidate registered six months prior to the examination month may be allowed to appear in any one or two module(s) of the Professional Program.
- The candidate must have undergone postal or oral tuition for the modules in which he/she intends to appear in the examination.

Subjects for ICSI CS: The following subjects will be covered under CS Executive Entrance Test:
Paper 1: Business Communication
Paper 2: Legal Aptitude & Logical Reasoning
Paper 3: Economic and Business Environment
Paper 4: Current Affairs, Presentation and Communication Skills
ICSI Exam Centre 2020:
ICSI exam is conducted at more than 100 examination centre in India and one in Dubai. Candidates desiring to appear from overseas Examination Centre at Dubai are required to pay in addition to the examination fee, surcharge which presently is US$100 or its equivalent amount in Indian Currency. Test centers are allotted by the institute. In case any candidate wishes to get their center change, they will have to submit an application along with Rs 250 as fee, to the institute at least 15 days before the exam date.
