Solution:
from statement I,
Time× Speed = Dist.
T1×S1 = T2 S2
50×T = 55(T-1)
50T = 55T-55
5T=55
T = 11 hours
∴ Distance= T1×S1
= 50×11 = 550 km.
from statement II,
d/2= 25×11
d = distance = 50×11 = 550 km.
