Short Information: The High Court of Gujarat invites ‘Online Application’ from eligible candidates for filling up 09 vacancies of English Stenographer Grade II, in the Pay Matrix of Rs.39,9001,26,600/ plus usual allowances as per the rules, on the establishment of the High Court of Gujarat, by Direct Recruitment.
High Court of Gujarat Recruitment 2021 Details
About High Court of Gujarat:
- This high court was established on 1 May 1960 as a result of bifurcation of the former State of Bombay into two States of Maharashtra and Gujarat. The High Court started functioning near Akashwani, Navrangpura, and Ahmedabad. The High Court has later shifted to the new building at Sola, Ahmedabad, from 16 January 1999.
- The Gujarat High Court has jurisdiction over the entire state of Gujarat. It has jurisdiction on all district, administrative and other courts in Gujarat. This high court is a Court of record and empowered to punish anyone for contempt of court.
Gujarat High Court Stenographer Recruitment – Eligibility Criteria:
- Graduate from recognized University. Speed of 100 words per minute in English Short Hand and have a Knowledge of Computer Operation.
- A Candidate must possess a certificate regarding basic knowledge of computer as prescribed by the State Government from time to time.
Age Limit:
A Candidate applying to the post, shall not be less than 18 years and not more than 35 years of age, as on the last date for submitting Online Application i.e. on 04/05/2021.

In any case, the Upper Age Limit for any Candidate under any Category/Class shall NOT exceed 45 Years, while availing the above mentioned Age Relaxations as on 04/05/2021 [i.e Last Date for submitting the Online Application].
GHC Application Fees 2021:
Candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, Socially and Educationally Backward Classes, Physically Disabled Persons (PH), Ex Servicemen and Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) shall be required to pay Fees of Rs.250/ plus usual Bank Charges and all other candidates shall be required to pay Fees of Rs.500/ plus usual Bank Charges, via “Print Application/Pay Fees” Button through SBI ePay, provided on the webpage of HCOJAS Portal https://hcojas.gujarat.gov.in
Mode of Payment:
Carefully Read and Follow the Instructions/Help given thereat. Select the Mode of Payment i.e. Online Payment or Cash Challan (Offline) (Cash Challan will be generated Online at SBI epay website only).
GHC Selection Process 2021:
- The Stenography / Skill Test and Viva Voce Test (Oral Interview) will be conducted at Ahmedabad or at the Centre(s) as decided by the High Court, and Candidates shall have to appear at their own cost in the respective tests.
- The Select List & Wait List will be prepared on the basis of Aggregate Marks obtained by the Candidates in the Stenography/ Skill Test and Written Test.
- The Wait List would consist of not more than 20% of the category wise Notified Vacancies and shall be operated during the validity period of the Select List/Wait List.
VIVAVOCE TEST (ORAL INTERVIEW): (to be conducted tentatively in the month of September/October2021)
- Viva Voce Test (Oral Interview) shall be of 40 Marks. Suitability of the Candidates, at the Viva Voce Test (Oral
- Interview), will be assessed on the basis of one’s General Knowledge & Legal Knowledge, Basic Knowledge of Computer Application and Personality, etc.
