AFCAT 2 2024 Vacancy
A total of 304 vacancies are open for Short Service Commission (SSC) roles in the Flying Branch, as well as Ground Duty Branches (both Non-Technical and Technical positions).
AFCAT 2 2024 Age Limit
- For the Flying Branch: Candidates must be at least 20 years old, with an upper age limit of 24 years for the Flying Branch.
- Candidates holding a valid and current Commercial Pilot License issued by DGCA (India) may benefit from an upper age limit relaxation, extending up to 26 years.
- For Ground Duty (Technical & Non-Technical): The minimum age requirement is 20 years, while the upper age limit is set at 26 years.
AFCAT 2 2024 Eligibility Criteria
For the Flying Branch:
Candidates must have a minimum of 50% marks each in Physics and Mathematics at the 10+2 level, along with either a three-year graduation degree or a B.E/B.Tech degree from a recognized university, with a minimum of 60% marks.
For Ground Duty (Technical):
Engineering (Electronics) (AE(L)): Candidates must have a minimum of 50% marks each in Physics and Mathematics at the 10+2 level, along with either a three-year graduation degree or a B.E/B.Tech degree from a recognized university, with a minimum of 60% overall.
AFCAT 2 2024 Salary
- During their final year of training, cadets will receive a stipend amounting to Rs. 56,100.
- Upon successful completion of training, young Air Officers will be allotted Level 10 in the Pay Matrix of the 7th CPC, with a salary range of Rs. 56,100 to Rs. 1,10,700.

The selection process will comprise two stages.
AFSB Testing Stage 1
- Officer Intelligence Rating Test.
- Picture Perception and Discussion Test (PP&DT)
AFSB Testing Stage 2
- Psychological Tests
- Group Tests
- AFSB Interview
- Computerized Pilot Selection System (CPSS) Test
AFCAT 2 2024 Application Fee
- Candidates registering for AFCAT entry will have to pay an amount of Rs.550/- +GST (non-refundable) as examination fees.
- However, candidates registering for NCC Special entry are not required to pay
